About

Nicole has been practicing yoga for 7 years. She first came to her mat on the recommendation by her physiotherapist following a running injury. ‘Stretching’ post-workout was often overlooked or skipped prior to that.  But Nicole quickly fell in love with the practice of yoga.  She was surprised at how challenging it actually could be and not just on the physical body but also on the mind as well.  Nicole learned from many teachers and different styles or lineages that there was far more to the practice than moving into some poses on the mat.  It was a lifestyle.  A way to live, not only on the mat but also off of the mat.  Planting little seeds of hope and inspiration, Nicole felt some big shifts happen in her life once she practiced more consistently. After a few years she was inspired to take her practice further and to gain more knowledge about the ancient tradition of yoga.  She completed her 200 hour certification with SKY yoga teacher training in May of 2017.

Nicole feels that yoga, in many ways, changes lives. She believes the first asana she ever did was the beginning of her journey to becoming her most authentic self. What she would like and hopes to bring to her classes is the very thing she has always loved about a yoga class: connecting holistically to the divine power of Self and putting love in action – which is sometimes found through stillness.  Mindful breath, movement, intention – this is how we come home to ourselves. She wants students to experience a grounding in and down to discover a deep, inner spaciousness within, that simultaneously gives them a sense of joy, peace, and inner-richness to help live life more vibrantly with all parts of their Self.

Nicole is a realist who believes in being open and transparent, sharing experiences and growing through what she and the collective may be going through.  She brings vulnerability and rawness to her classes in a way that is relatable.  To her, yoga is not only about the ‘love and light’, it’s about noticing and being with all the emotions, all the darkness, all the energy, all the past traumas.  Creating a brave and safe space to be with that which is arising within ourselves in the present moment and actively letting go, unbecoming, relearning to find sovereignty in our divine being.  She truly believes that everyone has the answers they seek within and by trusting the process the universe will guide us as we collectively walk each other home.
